A Year in Review: What’s Been Happening at DT&T Throughout 2022?

As the saying goes, so much can change in just a year. 2022 has been a monumental year for the team at DT&T for many reasons, not least because we reached a huge business milestone – our 20th anniversary. But we also secured some incredible partnerships that we’re particularly proud to share with our customers.

What’s Been Happening at DT&T Throughout 2022?


DT&T Celebrated 20 Years in Business
September 23rd marked the 20th anniversary of DT&T. It’s been two decades since our founders, Dayo and Abi Taiwo, set off on a mission to make sending money abroad as simple as possible. Since then, we’ve built a world-class customer-focused payment platform among many other achievements. But we’re not stopping here. With our dedicated team and loyal customers right by our side, we’re looking forward to achieving much more in the next 20 years.

The Launch of the DT&T Blog
Unless you’re a money expert like the team at DT&T, it can be hard to wrap your head around the banking world. We posted our first blog post in April 2022 to help customers feel more connected with the latest news and updates from DT&T. But our blog is also a space where customers can learn how to navigate their finances, whether that be personal finances or business finances.

Brand New App Designs
2022 was the year we completely revamped our mobile app. This meant updating the UI/UX (User Interface/User Experience) design, which includes elements such as buttons and icons, to improve the overall experience for our customers. So, you can relish a streamlined, easy-to-use application designed to simplify the way you manage and send money abroad.

A Partnership with ClearBank
Back in April, we partnered with ClearBank, the technology-led banking service. Aligning with our goal of expanding into new markets, this beneficial move meant we could launch a current account to all customers. The card will be accessible via a simple mobile app, available on Apple and Android, and ultimately takes DT&T’s overall offering to the next level.

A Partnership with Mastercard
In June, we secured another fantastic partnership with the world’s second-largest payment processing corporation, Mastercard. This supports our earlier partnership with ClearBank, as we all work together to issue debit cards supporting new current accounts. Not only will the partnership provide new products for DT&T customers, but it will help us reach a wider market of customers.

Achieved PCI-DSS Compliance as a Service Provider
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) compliance states that we must adhere to a strict set of policies put in place to protect all card transactions. It also ensures all customer details are kept safe and secure. This means we’re doing everything we can to put the security of our customers first while strengthening our offering as a service provider.

The Pre-Launch of our Debit Card
As a result of our earlier partnerships with ClearBank and Mastercard, we recently announced the pre-launch of the DT&T debit card with a free current account. Available to UK customers, the debit card supports spending in the UK and abroad, simplifying everyday banking solutions for everyone.

Payment Automation
This year we checked off a huge DT&T goal – the automation of our payment system. This means we can manage the times of a successful transaction – from order placement to order payment – without the presence of our team. And best of all, we can do it around the clock, 24/7. Therefore, we can maintain a more hands-off approach, enabling the team to focus our expertise elsewhere.
